Here's a few fishing advice for you then:
* the pen-test mailing list archive (preferably read at insecure.org since it compared to securityfocus and neohapsis has the most complete archive and allows easy thread-based reading).
Takes time to traverse it all, but it'll give you "all" the tools and sites.
* Also, insecure.org will probably soon be updated with results from a new nmap survey, which will mean an update of the tools-section (which currently lists top 75 security tools from the nmap survey in 2003).
* packetstormsecurity.org
