If I remember correctly, the free/trail version of CIA commander doesn't
actually let you make changes (write) to the SAM.
You go through the process of creating a boot image, then once you boot
up with it, you can navigate around, but the tools
don't have full functionality. Gives you a message to purchase the full
version. Its also a time based trail.
