Canon BJC4xxx printers in Linux

Extracted from Web submission (dejanews)
Tip provided by Michael J. Ball
With certain distributions of Linux (RedHat 5.x for example) the Canon
BJC-4xxx series of printers do not want to print properly. They start
to print the actual Postscript instructions to the page, and after about
four or five lines, just stop printing, and the printer indicates an
error.

This can be corrected by commenting out the "COLOR=-dBitsPerPixel=1" line
in the /var/spool/lpd/lp/postcript.cfg file.

Just put a hash (#) infont of this line, save it and restart your lpd.
