Install software
Install any third party software. This might be a web server like IIS 4.0. To install IIS 4.0 you have to have SP3
or SP4 already on the system. This doesn’t change the fact that you have to re-install SP4 afterwards.
(Re-)Install the latest service pack
Install the latest service pack for Windows NT 4.00. At the time of writing, this is Service Pack 4.
Install available hotfixes
Install all available hotfixes. The hotfixes are available from ftp://ftp.microsoft.com/bussys/winnt/winnt-
public/fixes/usa/nt40.
