T 5.15 "Inquisitive" staff members

"Inquisitive" staff could, by abusing user facilities of the PBX, attempt to

• divert calls intended for colleagues to their own telephone;

• accept calls intended for others;

• read the call and last-number re-dial memory of other persons;

• tap telephone calls.

As a result the danger exists that staff may obtain information that is not intended for them or is even confidential without permission.

Example:

An employee uses the "Call pickup" function to take calls for an absent colleague. Apparently in order to save time, he announces himself with only a brief "Hello?" without revealing his identity. In this way he obtains an insight into the private affairs of his colleague.
